As Head of People – New Territories, you’ll help Open Cosmos grow into new countries in a thoughtful, practical way. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll set up the right employment structures in new locations and support the People side of any acquisitions we make.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team, along with legal, finance and People colleagues, to make sure our growth is compliant with local laws, makes commercial sense, and stays true to how we work and what we value at Open Cosmos.
What will you be doing?
Helping Open Cosmos grow into new countries by setting up employment in a compliant, practical and scalable way
Choosing and working with the right legal, HR and benefits partners in each new territory
Putting in place locally compliant contracts, policies and ways of working, while keeping things as consistent as possible across the business
Defining salary and benefits approaches for new countries that are competitive, fair internally and financially sustainable
Working with Talent Acquisition to make sure hiring plans reflect local regulations and realities
Supporting managers and new joiners with strong onboarding as teams are established in new locations
Leading the People side of any acquisitions, including employee transfers, consultations and supporting teams through change
Making sure everything is clearly handed over to the People team for ongoing, day-to-day support once a new territory is up and running
What You’ll bring
Strong knowledge of international employment and the ability to apply local regulations within a global business
A solid understanding of M&A activity from a People perspective, including supporting employee transfers and leading teams through change
Confidence working across different cultures, adapting your approach to local norms while staying true to Open Cosmos’ values
Clear, honest communication and the ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders and external partners
Commercial awareness, with a clear view of how People decisions impact cost, growth and long-term sustainability
Comfort operating in ambiguity, taking ownership and finding practical, pragmatic solutions
A values-led mindset aligned with how Open Cosmos works: ambitious, trustworthy, effective, efficient and collaborative
